The end of July signalled an exciting moment in the world of fragrance as BY TERRY released its new scent. Named Delectation Splendide, it marks the brand’s first perfume release since last year and the fifteenth in its fragrance line, which launched in 2012.
When concocting her new fragrance, Terry de Gunzburg's was inspired by the decadence of the French court during Marie Antoinette's reign as depicted in Sofia Coppola's 2006 film. The result is an exotic and opulent scent which opens with spicy Indian Ginger and Turkish Tobacco Leaf, followed by luxurious Moroccan Rose and Venezuelan Tonka Bean. The base notes include a woody finale of Moroccan Benzoin Siam, Sri Lankan Cinnamon Wood and Madagascan Vanilla accord, finished off with Indonesian Patchouli and Musk, bringing it to new heights of sophistication.
Founder Terry de Gunzburg has loved fragrance since she was young and it was her mission to create perfumes for women who shared her passion. Like her highly successful makeup range, Terry's fragrances are for those who aren't afraid to experiment and stand out, and her latest olfactory offering is arguably her boldest to date.
